  1. What colleges and areas do you service?

Answer:
Matthews.ie operates direct commuter services from Dundalk, Drogheda, Bettystown, Laytown, and surrounding areas into Dublin. Key stops include UCD, St Pats, DCU, DIFE, DKIT & then walking distance to Trinity, Dublin Business School and Much much more

You can view the full timetable on our site, including departure times from all our stops and which operate both weekdays and weekends.

  1. Do you accept Credit Card/Debit Card payments?

Answer:
We advise that you top up your leap card with the following steps to top up your card with a Debit Card – so the funds are present when you board the coach.  But if you are unable to do this – you can give cash to the driver to top up your card and sell you travel tickets.

  1. How do I top up my Leap Card?

Answer:
Simply download the Leap app on your phone. You can instantly top up your card within the app. Then, when boarding the bus, present the Leap Card to the machine and the driver will sell you a ticket/product.

  1. What happens if I don’t have my Leap Card?

You can purchase your ticket online through our website or opt to buy Cash Tickets – this is done with the driver – you need to pay with cash – but please be mindful you can only buy Return or Single tickets.

6.How do I know which stop to get off at?

Answer:
Check the timetable for exact drop-off points. Key stops include:

  • Whitehall – DCU College
  • Drumcondra – St Pats
  • Drumcondra Station – Dart link to Maynooth
  • Dorset Street – Mater & Temple StGrangeGorman DCU
  • Cathal Brugha Street – Dublin City – Dublin Business School
  • UCD – College Campus
  1. What should I do when waiting at the bus stop?

Answer:

It is key that when you are standing at the bus stops to be mindful that the same stop is used by other companies like Dublin Bus, City Link etc – with this in mind – Matthews.ie bus will only stop if requested to do so.  This means that you must put your arm out to flag to the driver that you wish to travel.  The coach will not automatically stop for pick up.   ( See videos explaining all routes here )

  1. Where does the bus depart from in UCD?

Answer:
The return from UCD is only in the evening – as per the timetable ( click -here to view ) the bus stop picks up and drops at the internal coach park of the college.

Drop Off – Bus Stop 4391
