Free Travel Survey will be participating in a national survey of free travel pass users, which begins on Wednesday March 1.

The Department of Social Protection survey will last for six months and will require all users of Public Service Free Travel Cards and Passes to register their details when using services such as
All users of the new Public Services Card Free Travel Pass will have their details logged by the on-board ticketing machines on buses.
And the innovative coach company have come up with a novel idea to help users who still have the old-style paper Free Travel pass.
“As with many other bus companies in the State, we have to log the details of free travel pass users over the next six months,” said Managing Director Paddy Matthews.
“This means manually filling in the details of each user and their companion if applicable every time they get on the bus.
“However, we have produced sheets whereby users can fill in multiple copies of their details and simply hand them to the driver, along with their old-style paper pass, each time they get on the bus.
“Our main aim with this process is to avoid delays and make it as easy as possible for all of our passengers.
“Our advice to passengers with the old-style paper passes would be to ask the driver for a supply of forms and have them pre-prepared for every journey.”
Forms will also be available to download via the Facebook page.
