National Stud and Newbridge Silverware

National Stud and Newbridge Silverware

Aug 4th (Bank Holiday Weekend)

This morning we visit the Irish National Stud where world-famous horse-racing legends are born & bred, also home to Europe's finest Japanese Gardens and St Fiachra's Gardens, on 4 acres of stunning Irish landscape.

The Irish National Stud and Gardens symbolises the beating heart of Ireland's thoroughbred horse industry. It is the home of equine royalty. And learn about many famous Racehorses that have been breed here and hit the spotlight around the world. Visit the Japanese Gardens laid out by Japanese craftsman Tassa Eida and his son Minoru who were brought here by Lord Wavertree who established the Original Tully stud and farm in 1900. Also visit the beautifully designed St Fiachra's Garden that commemorates the patron saint of gardeners St Fiachra.

Later in the afternoon we visit Newbridge Silverware Visitor Centre housing a complete range of products. Have a quick bite to eat in the award winning Silver Restaurant with the famous Museum of Style Icons on-site. The Museum of Style Icons hosts numerous collections and artefacts relating to Stars of the Silver Screen and many modern day artists - including Marilyn Monroe, Princess Grace, Princess Diana, the Beatles and many more. We finish the day off with a stop at the Kildare Village. With luxury outlet boutiques providing fashion and luxuries for the home, Kildare Village offers a selection of Irish and international brands with discounted savings on the recommended retail price. A fantastic day out in County Kildare.
